Disposition:
Impulsive
While Jun has yet to cause any serious disasters by rushing in head first, a good eighty percent of his life choices were made because he thought it sounded like a good idea, such as “leaving home and becoming a courtesan at sixteen”, “agreeing to join the mafia run by his magical patron”, and "literally everything he's ever bought on a shopping trip". It hasn’t failed him yet, and he sees no reason to start thinking before doing something unless death is on the line.
And honestly even that might not stop him. Ask why his hair is nearly colorless one day. Be ready to beat him over the head for making a deal with faeries.
Lazy
Never do for yourself what you can talk someone into doing for you. This has also served Jun extremely well, though he does realize that sometimes it’s just best for him to get off his butt and do it himself. That being said, he regularly cites his age and his efforts in stopping the dracoliches as reasons to do fuck all; that combined with his tendency to bribe people gets most things handled and what can’t be solved by bribery can usually be solved by reminding people that just because he’s a “pretty boy” doesn’t mean he can’t smite you with all the power of the fae even if he doesn’t like flaunting that particular power.
And if that doesn’t work? Well, time to stop being lazy and time to start fixing the problem.
Overwhelming
The man is a peacock, a trait that has only gotten worse since he started dating the Summer Queen. That’s not to say he’s cocky, he’s just showy and flamboyant and extremely prone to throwing a hundred different gifts at someone when he wants to show he cares and doesn’t realize that it might be a Bit Much for the average person. His pranks can also be a Bit Much, but they’re never malicious...even if one did result in his baby brother never sitting down in a room where Jun was left alone.
Some people might say this tendency to be Extra is a way for Jun to cover up his own insecurities but those people have no idea what they’re talking about, if you ask Jun. (While being chosen by a Queen to save the Summer Court as an infant might leave most people over-confident, this isn't the case with Jun. Instead, Jun worried for much of his life that he was, in fact, only amazing because of his patron.)
Caring
Despite everything, Jun does generally mean well and he will go punch an undead dragon if said dragon is endangering his people. He’s incredibly affectionate on top of being insanely protective, and his favorite hobby is “shopping for people I love and surprising them and doting”, though see the above point for how this sometimes backfires. He just wants to make sure the people in his life know how much he values them.
Suitability: Jun will take one look at this situation, shrug, and trust that everyone will be just fine back home before settling in to help the native gems. This is weird but he’s from a world where people regularly just stumble into a faerie circle or a portal to the elemental planes. This is just that, but bigger and honestly a bit more his aesthetic. The idea of Synchrony is new, but nothing he hasn’t done before, and honestly he already got most of his magic from an outside source so the Gembond powers are again just more of the same.
The transformations will be tricky. He’s a shapeshifter, yes, but he was born with tails and ears. Suddenly getting some new stuff will throw him off.
Condition upon arrival: Fine. He’s been running his shop in peace for a year or so now, his son is attending a college in the capital, and the rest of his family is thriving.
Abilities: Jun is, in Dungeons and Dragons terms, a level 20 Pact of the Chain Warlock with an Archfey patron. Jun is an insanely powerful spellcaster, able to kill people with a word or set them on fire or drive them insane. He’s absolutely useless in a physical fight, but by the gods he will wreck your shit if you give him a chance to cast. And this is before one takes into consideration his assorted magical items and the boons that being the Summer Court’s Ambassador (referred to by some as the Oberon) grants him. A full list of his spells is here; the ones marked with a star are the ones I know may need to be nerfed, but if the mods think more do, just let me know
Aside from all of that, he’s also incredibly charismatic and something of a genius. He is also able to transform from his natural three-tailed foxkin form to something more elven in appearance to a full white furred three-tailed fox without the aid of any spells.
Inventory: The Nocturne Staff (see ability list for spells this allows him to cast)
The Robe of Stars (inert and unable to be used for anything more than a very pretty robe)
Two changes of clothes
His haircare kit (a special comb and brush for his fur and a bottle of oil to keep it smooth and silky, as well as some ribbons to keep his hair out of his face)
Gembond: Amethyst
Gem Location: The V of his neck, on his collarbone
